I first met Chris midsummer after seeing the photos of his fabulous 39lb 8oz, 300 acre Brogborough lake record. I was also fishing Brogborough lake so I tracked Chris down and he recommended I try the Pearl. To be honest I was a bit sceptical so I ordered a couple of kilos and as Chris recommended I used it on one rod fished against my current bait. My next two carp were low twenties, coincidence? I thought I would try Pearl on my other club water the Gingerbread lake. This lake has some cracking carp but is highly pressured, so with my two target fish in mind. Cluster the biggest mirror and the Long common, which as the name suggests is the biggest common in the lake. So off I went using 1 rod on Pearl and 2 rods on my usual high profile boilies.
The first night on a packed lake, I caught one of my target fish the Long Common, on the Pearl. (pictured above)
Usually 35lb it was down on its weight due to spawning and went just over 29lb. A great result! I was convinced by the Pearl and ditched my other bait and ordered more Pearl. Next weekend due to some poor angling, I lost 2 carp to hook pulls from the Gingerbread. I then gave my third lake a go. In two short overnight trips, I had a carp just over 20lb. I then returned to Gingerbread and had two more carp up to 27lb before the floods and winter set in. All my photos are on the Thripster Facebook page and the website. Due to shift work my fishing time is limited to maybe one or two overnight trips a week. I feel that Thripster bait and its HNV high quality food source, and its unique PH change, has dramatically improved my chances of not only catching fish, but has proved to catch the bigger fish in any lake. I highly recommend this bait. Why not do what I did, and try 2kg and fish it alongside your normal bait. I am sure like me you will find it catches more fish and the bigger fish.
Tight lines.
UPDATE. Since using FFC Baits Pearl I have had a 34lb country park lake record common.
Bill Mann. 12 February 2014.
I have known Chris right from the beginning, when we met on a club water in Bedfordshire. At the time I was sponsored by a well know tackle and bait company.
I knew that Chris was using his own bait, and like myself, he was having great success. I was Intrigued in what Chris was achieving. Unfortunately, due to other commitments, I had a break from fishing for the best part of a year. When I got my rods back out, after brushing off the cobwebs, I touched base with Chris, remembering that he was rolling his own bait. I made enquiries with Chris regarding Thripsters baits, and after a long talk, and discovering that in that year that I was not fishing, he had managed to set up his own bait company. I decided to purchase and try the Pearl. Lets just say that the bait was a bit special!.
I returned to fishing by chucking myself right in at the deep end, and entered a highly accredited and reputable carp match. I successfully won, catching just shy of 60 fish.
Following on from the match, and a dabble or two on some local lakes. The bug was back, and I fancied a challenge. I’m now fishing a handful of
club waters, and quite possibly one of the most difficult pits in Bedfordshire on a syndicate basis.
I’ve caught numerous good fish exceeding 30lb on Chris’s mixes, and can honestly say I’ve never had so much confidence in a bait. In three nights I have had four fish, from an ultra hard low stock pit, along with quite literally 100s of carp in and around the Bedford area.
It’s great fishing with such a brilliant bait, and I have also made a good friend, who is responsible for it.

When I first started using FFC Baits, Pearl was the one chosen, I was a little bit doubtful, having been testing for a major bait company for 10 years. But seeing the results from other waters I thought I would try it next to my test baits. At that time the results were outstanding, with Pearl out catching 3 times over the other baits.
I switched the positions over and over, so as to test the bait, and Pearl won again. That’s why I threw all my test baits away, and I now test for FFC Baits. I am 100% confident in using the bait from Thripsters range, knowing it will give me the edge against other anglers, and it will catch me the bigger fish in any chosen water. It is without doubt the biggest edge I have in my fishing armoury. Since using Thripsters baits, I have had 3 lake records one of which was a PB 45lb
common shown above.
Get on it. I promise you that you won’t be disappointed.

Well here we are once again in the new year with 2015 out of the way, oh what fun it was!...... lets make 2016 the Thripster year. As we are only a few days into the new year, I’m already planning my chosen carp path. I will be returning to a water that I love so dearly. Happy days. There are some amazing carp to compete against, and with my tools ready and my positive drive to catch what I’m after, I am really looking forward to getting amongst them again. September 2015 was the changing point for me, as I was taken on as a bait consultant for FFC Baits. It was also the same time I had started to fish a new lake which was going to be a very demanding water, aka not easy!!! I had only been using the Pearl for three days, and I was straight into some lovely carp it really was unreal. I was on a rock hard water known to some as the cray lake in Cambridgeshire a real tough cookie.
So straight from the off the Pearl had done its job. I pulled off the water in November after catching 14 carp on the Pearl, I was completely addicted to the bait as were the carp too. considering I had 130 acres of water to go at, and had never wet a line in the lake before, it had really blown me away. Over the last couple of months I have managed to get on the bank a little bit, and I’ve had a few nice captures using a different variety of Thripster baits i.e. the Viper the Cobra and the mighty Pearlesk, which all are amazing baits too. Now we are into 2016, I’m planning my next move, which is jumping onto the lagoon on the St Ives complex, where I will be up against some amazing carp, and a real gem of a water. I’m looking forward to testing some of Thripsters secret baits, and putting them to the test. This year is going to be the year. 210% effort, really mobile and really active on the bank. Let the rods do the talking.........

I have been using Thripsters bait now for 4 months, and I have to say it's the best carp bait I have ever used. I have had over one hundred fish on this bait. Because of time restrictions I can only fish the odd weekend, so to catch that many fish on any bait, is amazing when others aren’t catching. The high protein HNV food source is perfect for the fish, and the fish obviously love it. I've
experienced what it can do, and nothing I've ever used compares to it. Above is my PB 30lb mirror that my dad also caught on Pearl, at the other side of the lake.
UPDATE.
Pictured above is Luke's new personal best. A 36lb Mirror believed to be the biggest in the lake. Well done Luke, on another PB and another lake record for FFC Baits.
Luke Marvin. 12 February 2014.
I started using FFC Baits boilies after Chris asked me to test his baits, this was in mid-September. Up till then I was using cell etc., with patchy results on a highly populated water. The lake had switched off due to pressure, this carried on for most of the autumn into the winter.
All were blanking or catching bream, I myself had blanked for a few months so took 2kg of Thripsters boilies for a 4 day session. After 24 hours I had my first mid double on. Totally
convinced that Thripster bait is above all others from my
experience of using it, and my results prove this quality HNV bait, catches the bigger fish in any lake, and if I had these results, anyone can do the same.
I recommend Thripsters bait to anyone,
beyond any other I have tried and won't be using any other why would I...
Could it get any better than this? I went back a week later for another 4 day session and had my biggest fish to date, and a new lake record of 37lb 4oz, absolutely stunning fish never been seen before.
Since using Thripster baits, I have caught 15 carp, of which 3 were PB's and 3 fish over 30lbs, the biggest being over 37lbs which is a Dovecote lake record, at the time of writing this
testimonial.
This bait is truly sensational, and I would not feel confident using any other bait.
No hype or bullshit just results.
Thanks for reading.

I was asked to try a new bait in June 2013 called 'Thripster Pearl'. Not having a great deal of time to fish, and being what I would describe myself as a very average angler, who likes to catch and not sit behind his rods blanking. At first I was very unsure as the bait I was using was not brilliant but was catching the odd fish, But I agreed to give it a go. First session was on a local club water after work, I went down the lake at 3pm and fished until 8pm. I had 5 carp to 16lb. This lake is not a runs water. Normally when I have packed up, if I have enough time I always like to have a walk around the lake fish spotting and to ask other anglers what they have caught. About 12 other anglers were on the lake and only 3 carp had come out. A good start on the Pearl. I was not yet excited as I thought I was just in the right place at the right time. The second session was for 8 hours two days later. Now any doubts about this bait were totally gone, 12 carp biggest just over 21lb. Never have I had a session on this lake like this before. I went on to catch over 30 carp with well over 50 runs from this lake in just under a month.
I had a holiday booked to a well known carp come holiday venue in Cornwall, with my brother-in-law and his family.
After a couple of days my brother-in-law and I were itching to get the rods out.
So a 2 day session was planned. This time I was using Thripsters Viking. Fishing started a bit slow for most of the first day, but by now I had amazing confidence in this bait. Two hours before dark the bites started. In the next day and a half the two of us had 21 carp, with the biggest going 24lb which was a lake record. Now this lake is heavily fished all year round and is by no means a runs water. Being an average angler I don't very often out fish other anglers but since I've started using these baits I have done it on a number of occasions. To finish off I have had well over 140 runs with around 80 carp in 4 months of fishing. Not bad for an average angler, with an
exceptionally good bait.

I First met Chris around the middle of May this year (2017), when me and my mate decided to do a 48hr session at Kempston lake. On arriving, we had a quick walk around the lake. There were other anglers dotted around the lake so we decided to fish at the top end. We got set up, and got the rods out. At this time I was testing for another bait company, and had been for the past 4 years. I was having fish, but not as many as I had wished for. I had been told that Kempston lake was weedy in places, which we found out by Saturday lunchtime, and we hadn't had a thing. That's when Chris came round and asked what bait we were using. So I got some and showed him, well the look on his face said it all. He replied ‘not going to catch much with that bait’. Then for the next hour or so, he told us about his bait, and I was getting interested in it. So then he popped off, and came back about 10 minutes later and gave us a handful of the bait which was the Pearl. So I got the rods in, and re baited for the night. I said to my mate see if it works. Well I lost one, and my mate lost his one at the net, so I was hooked, I had to get some and try it, so I put an order in. Then Chris messaged me, asked how had I got on with it,
and said he had a new bait that he was testing,
he then asked if I would like to try it. I didn't see a problem, as in the mean time I had left the other bait company. (long story lol). So I collected my order of Pearl and the new bait Merry Berry, and decided to do another 48hr session at Kempston. I arrived at the lake and put a bit of both baits in, then set up. I Didn't have anything until about 4am next morning, then a nice 6lb tench on a Merry Berry pop up. Then it all kicked off and I had another 3 carp to 15lbs on the Merry Berry, and lost 2 lumps as well. Then as I was packing up, I had a lovely 21lb mirror. I was well chuffed. So I called Chris and told him the news, he was delighted for me. By this time I couldn't wait to get back to the lake but I knew that I was going to be busy at work for the next few weeks, so I booked a Friday off and did another 48hr session. I got to the lake about 6.30 Thursday night and got set up and decided to just use the Merry Berry and see what it could do on its own. The results were amazing, I lost 2 and had 8 on the bank, with a stunning 23lb mirror. All coming to the Merry Berry pop ups, while others were blanking around me.
So what can I say, the bait is in a league of its own and will out fish any other bait. Whilst using it, in a total of two 48hr sessions, I lost 4 and had 15 fish out on it. I think the bait speaks for itself.
I Would highly recommend it, but don't take my word for it, try it yourself. Thripster bait all the way from now on.
Tight lines everyone.
